We have an exciting opportunity for a civil/structural engineer to join our EFI global team. This role will suit someone early in their engineering career who is ambitious and is looking for long term career prospects, with a company that will allow you to quickly advance their career and skillset. Based in our Albany office, working within our team of seven engineers, you will be exposed to a diverse range of civil and structural projects for our nationwide client base.
Desired skills and qualities for this role include:
  • Have a recognized tertiary qualification in the engineering field
  • Be an engineer with some experience in the New Zealand consulting, civil and structural engineering environment and a sound understanding of the construction process
  • Likely to be working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer
  • Knowledge of Cad based design packages
  • Ambitious, keen to learn and a passion for knowledge, design and construction
  • Confident to work independently both in the field and office in a supportive team environment
  • Have strong communication skills
  • A “Can I help you?” attitude
Main duties and responsibilities:
  • Civil and structural design and supervision
  • Field inspections to civil and structural sites under the instruction of a chartered engineer to confirm field quality and design parameters
  • Assisting and helping the Engineering Team
  • Assuring the technical delivery on a consistent basis.
  • Meeting and securing better relationships with clients
