Key roles
This opportunity is for someone with a passion and interest in administration, to commence or further develop their Insurance career.
To provide administration support to the Casualty team.
Services provided will include a combination of claim administration, inbound and outbound calls and liaising with customers and clients through e-mail.
The Claims Administrator will focus on providing an excellent service for their team and, on occasion, to policyholders in accordance with agreed departmental objectives.
Specific responsibilities (including but not limited to)
Delivery of quality client and claimant communication, care, and fulfilling basic satisfaction criteria, performance satisfaction criteria and unique (welcome and unexpected) satisfaction criteria
A high level of quality and customer service
Claimant relationship management
Liaison and regular co-ordination meetings with Operations Manager
Undertaking the required Insurance Institute (minimum competency) examinations and achieving accreditation within the specified period
Third-party relationship management
Monitoring and progress chasing
Qualifications/skills
Minimum competency requirements accredited APA in Insurance or new entrant (non qualified) to insurance industry
CIP Qualification desirable
High level of proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Average typing speed 50-60 words per minute
Numeric skills
High level interpersonal and communication (verbal/written) skills
Experience
1-3 years experience in an administration role in an office environment (preferred)
Property or Casualty claims experience (desirable but not essential)
Employment background in the insurance industry (desirable but not essential)
Experience working within a facilities function/department (desirable but not essential)
Personal attributes
Sound knowledge of Sedgwick’s and its operation as a company (desirable but not essential)
Willingness to operate flexible hours
Capacity to work independently and demonstrate initiative
