About the opportunity

The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for driving Quality and Continuous Improvement across Seeing Machines.

Ensuring that processes needed for the quality management system are established, implemented maintained and improved – including measuring the performance of the quality management system (QMS)

Reporting on the performance of the quality management system and any need for improvement. Analysing data on the effectiveness of the QMS and evaluate where continual improvements of the QMS can be made. This shall include data generated as a result of monitoring and measurement and from other relevant sources

Responsibilities include:

• Defining and implementing processes for System / Software product development, in accordance with these standards e.g., ASPICE, ISO26262, ISO 9001
• Training and supporting project teams in the adoption of the Quality Management Systems (QMS) and continuous improvement via deployment within Q-Sight. In addition to the above standards, these also involve ISO27001, ISO 14001 and other customer specified standards
• Representing the company in customer quality engagements
• Conducting process, vendor, and internal audits
• Managing Issues and CAPAs
• Operational Efficiency Improvement

About you

You will have demonstrated experience in a similar role with;

• Tertiary qualifications in Software/Electronics/Systems engineering, and demonstrated equivalent industry experience
• Commercial work experience in Quality Assurance within Automotive, Aviation, or other relevant regulated industries
• Passion for driving the adoption of quality processes across the organization
• Commercial experience in defining quality processes and procedures for entire product development lifecycle for System and Software (innovation concept, product development, maintenance, field monitoring)
• Commercial experience in implementing processes in projects and project quality status reporting
• Experience in conducting internal QA audits of automotive product development teams
• Commercial experience with ASPICE, ISO/TS16949, and ISO26262 standards
• Experience in planning and conducting QA training to project teams
• Experience in handling 3rd party certification audit
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to champion ideas and achieve consensus within a team,
• Ability to operate and plan in a rapidly changing environment.
