A fantastic opportunity for a Newly Qualified Education Lawyer has arisen at a popular local authority in London. This locum assignment will begin on a 3 month contract with a view for extension and will be conducted remotely for the foreseeable future with a return to the office once a fortnight in the near future.

Our client is seeking an Education Lawyer who can hit the ground running in their busy and forward-thinking team. They are happy to consider someone with little experience, as long as you are hard-working and keen to learn.

As an Education Lawyer you will be running a varied caseload of education matters. You will also be preparing cases for tribunal and corresponding with parents/guardians’ solicitors, therefore excellent client care skills are essential.

Responsibilities will include:

• SENDIST
• Disability discrimination
• Attending school exclusion & admission appeals
• Special Education Needs Tribunal Appeals
• Drafting documents and preparing bundles for Tribunals
• Attending Conference with counsel and witnesses
