Senesco Marine, LLC Hiring for X-Ray Aluminum Welder at North Kingstown, Rhode Island Full Time

Senesco Marine is looking for an experienced aluminum welder (Gas Metal Arc Welding) who can weld together metal plates, channels, and other building components as laid out by a shipfitter. For 1st Class rate, welds must be XRAY Quality.

1st Shift and 2nd Shifts Available.

This position is located at Quonset Point in North Kingstown, R.I

Duties:

• Gas Metal Arc Welding, Flux core, Etc..

• Vertical and Horizontal Welding

Skills and Requirements:

• 2+ Years of Aluminum Welding or Relevant Experience

• Proficient in the GMAW welding process in all positions.

• Must be able to successfully pass a 3/8 plate weld test for vertical, overhead, and bend.

  For weld tests, you are required to bring a weld shield, slag pick, welding gloves, a long sleeve shirt (preferably leather), and safety shoes.

Physical Requirements for Essential Functions:

• Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.

• Must Pass the Ishihara test for color blindness.

• Must Pass a pulmonary function exam for positions requiring respiratory protection.

• Able to lift tools up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces as small as 18”x23”.

• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, kneel, squat, walk, sit, or stoop. Full range of motion.

• Ability to work outside, if necessary, with exposure to outside elements, e.g. heat or cold.

• Must have correctable vision to 20/40.

Work Demands:

• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), e.g. hardhat, face shield, safety goggles, steel toe safety shoes, respirator as determined by a Senesco Marine Job Hazard analysis.

• Employees must report all accidents and injuries to supervisors and the Environmental Safety and Health Department.

• Employees need to work at a pace consistent to meeting company deadlines.

Compensation:

• 1st Class $36/hr

The Aluminum Welder will report to the Supervisor Tom Mowbray and work closely with the Department.

The normal hours of work shall be 40-45 hours for any week; subject to overtime.
