Senior Network Engineer Full Time

Liverton Security is a privately held, rapidly growing cyber security company specialising in creating and marketing innovative, leading edge software and technical solutions.

Liverton Security provide critical infrastructure to NZ government.  This includes the development and operations of the AOG GovtDNS Domain Name System for the .govt.nz, .health.nz, .mil.nz & .parliament.nz namespace and the AOG SEEMail Secure email system. 

Reporting to the General Manager, Operations, we are seeking a senior, experienced, well-rounded, self-motivated network engineer to join the Wellington based Technical Services team.  You will need to have a range of technical skills including a detailed understanding of core internet technologies including firewall configurations and Linux. 

The role is located at the Liverton Security Wellington office and there are options for hybrid working available.  

The role is varied and will be mostly network engineering focused.  This will include some customer support, mentoring and guiding other engineers.  You will need to becoming familiar with all the Liverton Security products and services, including SEEMail, PKI certificate renewals, DNS queries, and security compliance requirements. Some after-hours work may be required.

Experience desirable in the following technical areas:

• Core Linux OS experience – distribution agnostic
• Linux automation, management, orchestration, and maintenance
• Windows Server OS experience
• Firewall configurations (FortiGate would be advantageous) 
• Microsoft Exchange Online (O365)
• Containerisation
• DNS, PKI
• SMTP – routing, filtering
• Networking – router, switch, firewall
• IT security principles
• Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) would be advantageous.

You need to be innovative with a “can do” attitude.  You MUST be able to obtain a New Zealand security clearance so will need to have been resident in New Zealand for at least 5 years.
