Vision for Education is looking to appoint a Learning Mentor to join our successful supply team and work in local schools in Rochdale supporting Looked After Children (LAC).
About the role
As a Learning Mentor you would be required to:
Mentoring sessions can range from one hour or a full school day (within school hours or after school) depending on the student’s timetable and capabilities.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Learning Mentor you will:
Be able to build positive, professional relationships and help children overcome barriers to learning,
Have knowledge of working with Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs),
Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential
Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff,
Be able to work in the Rochdale area.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
Have relevant experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable adults
