Service Foods Limited Looking for Delivery Driver – Class 2 (Napier) at Napier, Hawke’s Bay Full Time

Our Napier branch is looking for an energetic, dedicated Delivery Driver (Class 2) to join their team. The days and hours of work are from 6 am to 12 noon, Monday to Friday (with occasional Saturdays).

The ideal candidate will be a self motivated all-rounder who enjoys all aspects of picking, packing, product dispatch and delivery along with an emphasis on ensuring quality, health and safety standards are maintained throughout the process. You would be working and communicating with fellow team members whilst maintaining a positive environment, can – do attitude.

Key duties include but are not limited to:

1. Picking and packing of goods including fresh produce

2. Entering orders in the system

3. Packing and despatching orders

4. Delivering to local customers and businesses (with small van/truck )

5. Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements

6. Ensure compliance with food safety requirements

7. Production handling: ensure that no damages occur during picking and loading

8. Assist with other duties in the operation where needed

9. Assist with monitoring product quality frequently

The successful applicant will possess:

• Previous experience with pick pack and delivery
• Pick and pack orders with accuracy and speed
• Physically fit as there is some frequent heavy lifting involved
• Full Class 1 licence (class 2 licence is a bonus)
• Attention to product handling i.e. damages during picking and loading
• Maintaining a clean and tidy warehouse and vehicle
• Work experience in similar warehouse environment is beneficial
• Clean criminal and driving records
