Service Technician Full Time

About us

A locally owned and operated, independent firm located in Adelaide’s industrial inner North. Servicing clientele spanning multiple industries including: agriculture, retail, manufacturing, mining, and more.
We offer our clients quality service, including specialist mechanical and hydraulic fault finding, hose making, component rebuilds, machining, general engineering and maintenance.

We are seeking a suitably qualified fitter, fitter/machinist or similar trade to join our team, 3rd and 4th year apprentices may also be considered. After a trial period, the position is full time Monday to Friday 0800 to 1600 with the opportunity for overtime and weekend work. The successful candidate will be required to work at client sites and in our workshop. Some regional travel is required and the opportunity for interstate and remote travel can be discussed with the candidate.

Qualifications & experience

• Relevant trade qualifications
• Experience with a range of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Solid mechanical aptitude
• Valid drivers licence
• Good time management skills
• Lateral thinking and ability to problem solve
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, written instructions, machine manuals, procedures and schematics.
• Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)
• Additional qualifications like: restricted electrical licence, rigging/dogging licence, EWP ticket etc. will be highly regarded.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Fault finding mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
• Assessment, diagnosis, repair and testing of hydraulic components.
• Machining – general lathe and mill work.
• Light fabrication and welding commensurate with skill/experience.
• Prioritise work flows and respond to changing client needs.
• Complete service and maintenance records.
• Maintain great client relationships and uphold our company values.
• Foster a safe working environment compliant with WHS requirements.
• Order parts, consumables, stock and perform admin duties required by the role.
