THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION:
The COVID Vaccination Data Entry Clerk/ Covid Investigator will perform administrative work, computer and data entry, and will research and respond to program-related questions. The incumbent will support a variety of clerical functions for the Department”s vaccine clinics and vaccine management, including registration, on-site clerical operations at the vaccine clinics. This person will also be responsible for assisting with Covid investigations. The ideal candidate will have good computer skills and customer service skills. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
~ Performs customer service duties for the department.
~ Enters data into and maintains computer systems or databases; proofs data entry and correct errors; runs standard reports as required.
~ Accepts and processes plans, specifications, forms, reports, legal documents, applications, or similar materials in accordance with legal and procedural requirements.
~ Receives telephone calls and determines which calls can be handled personally and which should be referred.
~ Composes and prepares replies to a variety of communications when information is factual in nature or involves matters of established policies, procedures, or standard practices.
~ Establishes and maintains office filing systems, files, and records. Assembles information upon request; develops and maintains related forms and documents.
~ Schedules work orders, service calls, and other activities for departmental employees. Maintains activity and work logs.
~ Calculates, collects, and processes application, service, filing, and work order fees.
~ Maintains records.
~ Performs secretarial type duties as required including reception, typing, filing, mail processing, and similar type work.
~ May assist with training of new hires, temporary workers, and other department/division administrative employees.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities – The ideal candidate will:
Have experience with routine software and business application including, but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and databases.
Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
Read and comprehend department and County rules, regulations, policies and standard operating procedures.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other County employees, representatives of other agencies and organizations, and members of the community.
Interpret and apply a variety of organizational policies and procedures.
Perform duties independently without close supervision.
Provide professional customer service to clients and the public.
Maintain sensitive and confidential information.
Follow written and verbal instructions.
Organize material and present information clearly and concisely in verbal and written form.
Have a background in customer service, clerical, data entry, administrative, business, health, or public health.
