Job Description
This is a senior full-time position for an experienced and qualified Association of Professional Social Compliance Auditor (APSCA) who currently holds Certified Social Compliance Auditor (CSCA) status.
As a Social Compliance Auditor with SGS Knowledge NZ, you will plan and perform social compliance / ethical supply chain audits in accordance with SGS Certification policies, procedures and undertake an assessment the requirements of the Social Compliance Audit (SCA) supply-chain audit program specified by the Customer organisation.
The key roles and responsibilities of this position include:
- Maintaining your status as a APSCA Certified Social Compliance Auditor (CSCA), observing all requirements and expectations of a professional auditor and maintaining in good standing status on the APSCA database.
- Maintain or obtain, where required undertake the necessary training and developed to obtain, auditor recognition in customer or industry-specific programmes e.g SMETA, URSA, Coles, PSCI etc.
- Be able to effectively plan, conduct and lead social compliance / ethical supply chain audits across a wide range of industry sector codes.
- Where specifically skilled and qualified, plan and undertake management systems standards audits in quality, environment and health and safety.
- Undertake audit activity in accordance with SGS accreditation policies, procedures and audit program requirements.
- Collate audit / assessment findings, prepare reports and communicate findings to clients to ensure understanding of the requirements and area(s) that need to be addressed and/or corrective action required.
- Lead assessment / audit teams, as required, ensuring that team members are adequately briefed so that audit / assessment outcomes are achieved and quality of service is maintained and that effective working relationships are sustained both with Clients and within the team.
- Provide accurate and prompt information to the Delivery Support Team, working closely with them to ensure that client records are up to date and complete and that all other internal information requirements are met.
- Plan and schedule your audit / assessment workload to make best utilisation of your own time and maximise revenue-earning activity, performing the duties described above, to ensure that such duties are performed in an efficient and commercially expedient way
- Assist in the training of other auditors and lead auditors during planned training or observation audits or during other training functions and actively in witness audits by SGS or accreditation bodies.
- Maintain and continue to develop audit assessment skills, technical knowledge and participate in ensuring that any Continued Professional Development (CPD) requirements are met.
- Act as a brand Ambassador for SGS. This means acting ethically, with complete integrity and observing the Code of Ethics, policies and protocols.
Qualifications
- Current APSCA Certified Social Compliance (CSCA) Auditor ‘in-good standing’ status, ideally with experience auditing for a Certification Agency
- Have successfully completed an IRCA, Exemplar Global or equivalent recognised Lead Auditor Course and have a current certificates of this training.
- Experience and, as where applicable, qualified as a Lead Auditor across a range of industry sectors, especially in food industry and packaging sector.Auditor recognition in customer or industry-specific programmes e.g BRC, URSA, TCCC SGS, Coles, Pepsi SSP, PSCI etc. would be advantageous.
- Lead Auditor experience in other standards, such as ISO 22000 FSSC 22000, SO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 would be advantageous.
- A postgraduate qualification in a field or discipline relevant to social compliance and/or management systems auditing would be advantageous, not essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- A professional approach, with a focus on delivery and customer service
- Proven communication and negotiation skills
- NZ residency status or a current and valid visa to work in NZ
- Current and full NZ drivers licence
Additional Information
The Applicant must have NZ residency status or a current and valid visa to work in New Zealand (NZ).
This role involves extensive travel to Client sites throughout NZ and on occasion to Australia and the pacific islands, so the Applicant must be willing to travel.
