Shakespeare Birthplace Trust Hiring for Heritage Education Assistant Job at Stratford-upon-Avon, England , UK Full Time

The Trust is looking for additional Heritage Education Assistants to cover both our formal learning programmes and our hands-on activities for visitors.

We are looking to expand the number of assistants that run workshops for visiting primary schools. Our programmes aim to engage children’s interest in the life, times and work of William Shakespeare, drawing inspiration from the Trust’s historic houses and Collections. We are looking for practitioners that can bring history and drama to life for children.

To be successful in this role you should have both teaching experience and an enthusiasm for the works of William Shakespeare and history.

We are also looking to expand the number of assistants that run hands-on activities for visitors at the Shakespeare family homes. This is a varied role – one week you might be assisting visitors with quill writing and seal making, the next you might be making floral garlands and fairy wings.

To be successful in this role you should have experience of working with children and an enthusiasm for the works of William Shakespeare and history.
