Shelburne Farms Hiring for Seasonal Front Desk Attendant at Shelburne, VT Full Time

Start & End Date: May 1, 2023 – October 26, 2023

Work Schedule: AM & PM Shifts Available: 7AM – 2:30PM, 2PM – 10PM

(Front Desk is in operation 7 days/week from 7am-10pm)

What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests, checking them in and out of the Inn
• Providing general information about the Inn and Farm to guests
• Helping to resolve guest service problems and making the guests visit as enjoyable as possible
• Answering phones
• Processing all room and Inn gift store payments
• Maintaining on-going front desk log and phone messages log
• Communicating with Guest Attendants, Housekeeping and Manager on Duty regarding guest needs
• Booking dinner and breakfast reservations for guests
• Assisting with guest-related paperwork and filing
• Coordinating with Housekeeping when guests are checking in and out
• Running daily reports

Additional Valued Qualifications

• Hospitality and other relevant management experience preferred

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Seasonally demanding work schedule
• Ability to be physically active and/or stand for extended periods of time
• Indoor spaces lack conventional heating and cooling
