Responsibilities:

• Support HSE On-Boarding Orientations by putting together orientation packages and conducting PowerPoint presentations.

• Monitor SiteDocs online portal to ensure all Health and Safety frequencies are being met (inspections, meetings, hazard assessments, reports, training, competency assessments, etc.)

• Provide monthly safety performance reports to management, identifying and highlighting trends.

• Plan and help coordinate health and safety training including but not limited to WHMIS, First Aid, confined space, LSE, etc.

• Provide internal training, as required.

• Plan and conduct/attend quarterly Safety Meetings.

• Arrange, record and distribute JWSHSC Meeting minutes, as required.

• Monitor OHS/legislation updates and manage updates/reviews of the HSE Program.

• Conduct formal Job Hazard Assessments with supervision, and assist in Field Level Hazard Assessments, as required.

• Conduct internal audits annually (ACSA) and schedule external ACSA audits, when required.

• Complete contractor/client pre-qualifications, as required.

• Assist in development and implementation of Emergency Response Plans.

• Manage the Incident Management Program, ensuring all incidents are reported/recorded and investigation are conducted, as required.

• Assist in managing the Preventative Maintenance Program.

• Order and organize office stationery supplies and equipment, as needed.

• Provide general support to visitors and contractors in regard to HSE.

• Ensure pertinent health and safety documentation is posted onto Safety Board and provided to employees.

• Escalate health and safety issues to appropriate levels when required.

• Required to perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of HSE and HSE experience in an administrative capacity is an asset.

• Minimum 2+ years site construction experience in an administration/HSE Role.

• Health & Safety Administrator (HSA) designation, at minimum.

• WHMIS Train the Trainer experience/ability required.

• Experience in OHS inspections, investigations and hazard assessments (formal and site-specific).

• Proficient in administrative activities requiring attention to detail and advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word).

• Knowledge of SiteDocs online safety portal preferred.

• Ongoing interest for continuing training as required by the position.

• Problem solving skills to analyze data and identify trends.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.

• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
