About ShepCo:

Based in Indianapolis and operating nationally, ShepCo Commercial Finishes is a 20 year old company. ShepCo provides carpentry, drywall, painting, wall covering and epoxy flooring. The company was established in 1999 by Purdue graduate Brian Gatewood and has since completed over 5,000 projects both direct and sub-contracted in a variety of markets including multi-family, hospitality, healthcare, education, government, retail and more. ShepCo is a merit pay organization, dedicated to providing quality workmanship in a safe environment at a fair price.

Description:

• Oversee carpentry crews, drywall crews and subcontractors on multiple projects.
• Ensure that all work is being performed safely and accurately
• Track attendance and hours worked at job site
• Sometimes serve as ShepCo representative at jobs sites and in project-specific meetings
• Ensure all required labor, materials and equipment is ready and accounted for prior, during, and after a project
• Lead by example through quality workmanship

Qualifications:

• Thorough understanding and knowledge of commercial construction processes
• Strong leadership skills
• Effective communication skills
• Effective time management skills
• Ability to lead a team of 5 or more crew members

Requirements:

• 5 years’ experience in the commercial construction industry(supervisory experience is a plus!)
• Reliable transportation
• Valid drivers’ license
• Ability to meet physical demands of field work
• Must pass a background check and drug screen (ShepCo field employees are ICCS compliant)
