Job Summary

TheASGPresalesSolutions Engineer - Infrastructure will work as acustomer facingdata center infrastructure specialist. Theywillhelpuncover and develop opportunities when meeting with customers and account planning with sales teams.This position is a remote position that may berequiredto report tothe Austin, TX officeasrequiredfor business needs asdeterminedby SHI management.

Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to:

• Collaborates with account teams in understanding the maturity levels of customer data center environments through review and evaluation of Infrastructure technologies, consumption, implementations, andprocesses 

• Responsible for designing and proposing infrastructure solutions that meet customer’s businessobjectives  

• Strengthen our technical relationships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), strategic and emerging partners to increase knowledge and be considered for beta programs to better serve our customers with best current product information  

• Conduct product training and positioning for the Sales team and customer 

Qualifications

• PreferredBachelor’sdegree or equivalent work experience

• 2+ years’ experience working in complex Data Center technical presalesopportunities

• Advanced knowledge of servers, storage, virtualization technologies, hybrid cloud, converged infrastructure, and software-defined data centersregardingtheir impact on the business

• Experience with Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity and High Availability Solutions (backup/recovery, data protection, mirroring, active/standby, active/active, clustering)

• Expertisein mainstream technologies toinclude:Dell Technologies, NetApp, HPE, Cisco, Pure Storage, Azure, AWS, Veeam, Nutanix 

Required Skills

• Ability to design data center infrastructures that include hybrid cloud, hyper converged, software-defined data center (SDDC), infrastructure/platform as a service,automation, containerization, andData Center Management Platforms.

• Strong knowledge of Virtualization technologies, Hypervisors, server virtualization, Software Defined Data Center, containerization, and automation 

• Highcapacityto understand complex technical and selling situations and the ability to solve the problem orsolicitthe requiredresources  

• Must be results driven witha strong senseofurgency 

• Attention to detail, organization, and follow up skills arecritical  

Certifications Required

Preferredcertifications in one or more of the following mainstream technologies:

• Dell Technologies, Cisco, VMware, NetApp, Pure Storage, HPE, Azure, AWS, Commvault, Rubrik, Cohesity, Veeam, Nutanix 

Unique Requirements

• Position requires percentage travel of 30% for customer meetings, internal meetings or engagements, conferences, and SHI Offices 

Additional Information

• The estimated annual pay range for this position is $120,000 – $230,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
