The Molecular Imaging division of Siemens Healthineers has an opening for
a strong Manufacturing/Industrial engineer to join our team. The ideal
candidate should have experience in developing and improving manufacturing
processes focusing primarily on product quality and to ensure full compliance
to all FDA requirements. This position
will work across a cross-functional organization with large and diverse teams,
acting in a technical leadership role. A passion for manufacturing that
improves quality and reduces cost is essential to be a member on our team.
Responsibilities
Develop, evaluate, improve, and documentmanufacturing processes to improve quality and reduce cost in compliance withFDA requirements and regulations.
Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzingworkflow, material flow and space requirement to ensure on-time productshipments.
Design & implement factory & officelayout to ensure efficient flow of people & materials
Develop & maintain labor standards based ontime studies, estimates and historical data.
Create & maintain accurate product Bills ofMaterials & Routings.
Work closely with manufacturing department todevelop, coordinate, and provide technical training for employees.
Provide technical support for manufacturingpersonnel to trouble shoot and resolve technical problems.
Design fixtures and tooling to improvemanufacturing processes.
Performs time studies as necessary to ensureaccurate production labor hours are reported to track accurate product costs.
Implement and maintaining lean manufacturingtechniques such as Kanban, Kaizen & 5S.
Review and approve applicable engineeringspecifications and drawings for manufacturability.
Supporting company policies and procedures,goals and objectives, FDA regulations and good manufacturing practices.
Required
Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relateddiscipline.
Strong Mechanical or Industrial engineeringbackground in a related medical field.
Excellent writing, editing and proofing skills.
CAD proficiency in Siemens NX, Solidworks orequivalent software.
Knowledge of FDA medical device regulations fordevices and process. (i.e. IQ, OQ, PQ).
Exhibits skills needed to bridge gaps betweentechnical and non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrates the ability to manage change inrapidly evolving situations.
Strong project management skills, includingability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
Willingness to work as part of an integratedteam or independently.
ERP experience (SAP Preferred).
Preferred
Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
2-5 years of experience in related field andsuccessful demonstration of Key Responsibilities.
BS or MS in Mechanical, Electrical, or IndustrialEngineering
Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Visio.
Programming experience or advanced Excel skills(VBA, macros, etc).
