?Sigmatech is currently seeking a Multimedia Instructional Designer in Colorado Springs.
Job description:
Provide support to 319 Combat Training Squadron (CTS) personnel in all necessary multimedia activities to include Distance Learning (DL), blended learning, and special projects. The primary function of this role is to create learning modules that include digital images, videos, animations, narration, etc. This role is part of a DL team that will work with classroom instructors, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Instructional System Designers (ISD) and project managers to design multimedia learning experiences that are at the cutting edge of self-service and self-paced learning. This will also include building self-study lessons based on Instructor provided storyboards, audio scripts, 3D visualizations, training documentation, graphic design, and video production, as needed. This position will also support the training request process as well as occasionally setting up and producing live instructor training webinars.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
As part of the DL Team, this role will collaborate on the design and development of new training content, video productions and animations with input from SMEs, to produce sound instructional materials in accordance with 319 CTS course objectives and solid ISD principles.
Multimedia Responsibilities
Designs, develops, and refines graphics, animations, multimedia, audio, and video content for use with in-resident and distance learning formats.
Photographs and records raw content to support DL curriculum.
Develops and implements strategies for the rapid creation of high-quality multimedia learning objects.
Design and create Squadron materials, signage, general marketing materials, etc. for both print and online distribution as needed.
Records in-resident classroom sessions as needed.
Coordinate with program manager, course leads and ISD staff to ensure all 319 CTS DL curriculum lessons are properly maintained and up to date.
Daily administration of students on the 319 CTS Learning Management System (LMS).
Instructional Design Responsibilities
Responsible for creating eLearning content that is instructionally sound and engaging with the ability to translate technical material into concise eLearning lessons for technical and non-technical users.
Follow standard Instructional Design process which includes all phases of the ADDIE model (analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate).
Collects and analyzes existing content from subject matter experts to determine appropriate learning solution(s).
Create additional course materials (i.e., student guides, facilitator guides, reference materials) to meet learning objectives.
Uses industry standard e-learning authoring tools to create and upload LMS compliant courses.
Keep abreast of continually evolving technologies and/or enhanced product features and functionality and incorporate into training design and development.
Required Experience:
?BS Degree or higher in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Technology & Training, Educational Technology, Media Arts, Communications, or Graphics Design
Active TS/SCI clearance
5+ years of multimedia design experience.
3+ years of instructional design experience.
Demonstrated ability to develop meaningful and engaging multimedia assets and training elements.
Proficiency with video editing tools and eLearning development software, such as the Articulate 360 Suite, Canvas LMS, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (specifically After Effects, Premiere, and Photoshop), Camtasia, SnagIt, Final Cut, or similar.
Expertise using an Apple MacBook Pro.
Working knowledge of instructional design skills (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation) and adult learning theories in all phases of instructional design, and ability to apply it to work assignments.
In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $90,000 to $100,000; however, Sigmatech considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, experience, education/training, key skills, location and often contractual requirements.
