Silgan Hiring for Entry Level/Factory Associate at Lancaster, SC Full Time

JOB DESCRIPTION: Operates Palletizers and Boxer stations in the plant. Performs assigned quality checks, rework, assigned SOP’s, daily paperwork and any task assigned by management. Starting rate of pay 16.25/hour. Benefits packaged offered after 30 days of employment (Medical, Dental & Vision), 401k offered after 45 days of employment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Operates manufacturing equipment effectively and efficiently to keep production lines at maximum productivity.
• Continuously monitors quality of product and follows established protocols when defects are found.
• Performs rework (can and chipboard) effectively and efficiently to keep HFI inventory at minimum levels.
• Completes all required documents for purposes of traceability, production reporting and quality requirements.
• Work with management to improve work area, safety, quality, cost and productivity.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE: Multitasking experience preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS: Able to work at high speed, dependable, good written and verbal communication skills, able to work with little supervision.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Able to work on feet all day, able to work 8-12 hours days, able to work nights or days, able to work in high temperatures (up to 95 degrees), able to lift up to 50 lbs, has good vision capable of seeing defects in high speed applications, able to bend, twist and kneel, able to work at heights including use of steps.
