Silver Fern Farms Looking for Plumber – Industrial at Auckland Airport, Auckland Full Time

Silver Fern Farms Pareora (near Timaru) are looking for a highly skilled Plumber to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting production by providing plumbing, drainage and sheet metal services including maintenance, new construction and modification of existing plant and services site wide.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of any new site equipment
• Ability to accurately problem solve and provide solutions
• Have strong attention to detail and withhold the “totally dependable” standard
• Have up to date knowledge of the plumbing/gas industry
• Follow all H&S rules and regulations

Applicants will ideally possess:

• Hold a current Plumbing and Gas fitting/Drainage Registration
• Self-motivation with the ability to prioritise workload
• Basic knowledge and understanding of sheet metal work and TIG welding
• A demonstrated knowledge of the legal and legislative compliance conditions and issues as relating to plumbing and drainage systems

The successful applicant will be part of a maintenance team responsible for running repairs to a wide variety of site plumbing equipment, fabrication of process hygiene equipment. This position is ideal for someone looking for the challenge of working for a large company
