Principal Geospatial Application Specialist

• Work closely with product managers, UX designers and backend engineers to define and develop web applications for 2D and 3D map platforms;
• Build and maintain extensible production-grade front-end code to translate product specification into fully functional interfaces for both desktop and mobile web browsers;
• Conduct new web GIS technology exploration and create proof-of-concept.

Requirement

• Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, GeoSpatial Science/Technology or equivalent;
• More than 4 years of industry experience working on web and mobile application development, with at least 1 year experience in Agile development;
• Proficient knowledge in JQuery, HTML5, CSS3, WebGL, Node.js, popular JS frameworks (React JS, Vanilla JS), RESTful APIs, and cross-browser implementations;
• Good to have experience in open source geospatial solutions/libraries (e.g., leaflet, Cesium), (geospatial) database (e.g., PostGIS, MongoDB) and Cloud, Container/Docker;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a team.
