Te Tūranga i The Role

Join us at Sky as we transform how customers experience our digital world. As a UX/UI Designer, you’ll be at the heart of shaping seamless e-commerce, self-service, and streaming journeys across Sky’s digital products and services. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design intuitive and accessible solutions that meet both customer needs and business goals. Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Designing seamless and intuitive user experiences across Sky’s digital platforms, from e-commerce to self-service.
• Creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs that bring customer journeys to life and meet business goals.
• Using data and user insights to inform design decisions, validate hypotheses, and continuously improve digital experiences.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, CX, and marketing to deliver consistent and impactful solutions.
• Maintaining and evolving design systems and component libraries, ensuring best practices, accessibility, and brand alignment.

NGĀ PŪKENGA ME NGĀ WHEAKO I WHAT YOU WILL BRING 

You’re a user-obsessed designer with strong collaboration skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and a knack for turning complex problems into elegant solutions. You’re comfortable working in Agile environments and thrive on feedback, experimentation, and continual improvement.

Essential

• 5+ years’ experience in UX/UI design roles.
• Strong portfolio showcasing user-centred design across multiple platforms.
• Expertise in wireframing, prototyping, and visual design using tools like Figma, Sketch, and Photoshop
• Proven experience in user research, usability testing, and applying insights to design decisions.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments and using tools like JIRA.
• Strong understanding of UX principles, UI best practices, responsive design, and accessibility (e.g., WCAG).
• Experience designing for mobile, desktop, and responsive environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Knowledge of design systems and ability to collaborate with developers for implementation.
• Familiarity with A/B testing and data-driven design methodologies.

Preferred

• Experience working in Media, Digital Publishing, or eCommerce
