SkyCity Looking for Trainee Dealer / Casino Croupier at Auckland City, Auckland Full Time

We will be actively recruiting for new Table Games Dealers over the next few months! Don’t worry if you’ve never dealt cards or handled chips before, you’ll start your new role based in our awesome training room where you’ll spend 3 weeks learning all you need to know to become an experienced dealer in a major game! Once you’ve mastered the technique and you’ve studied the game rules, you’ll hit the main gaming floor where you’ll spend your working hours interacting with our fabulous customers and putting all you’ve learnt from training into practise.

Would you make a good dealer?

You could be someone who’s familiar with card games and enjoy playing socially or perhaps you’re a complete novice? Either way it’ll be your winning attitude, excellent customer service skills, ability to work under pressure and top-end people skills which will make you successful in his role. You’ll be someone who listens well and is able to follow instructions clearly, you’ll be at your best working in a vibrant, fast-paced and bustling environment and not forgetting the physical ability to stand for long periods – you will be on your feet a lot! You’ll understand that our business is 24/7 so will have a flexible approach to shifts and you’ll also need to have a head for numbers – strong maths skills is an important element of this role.

The must-have’s:

• You’ll need to be at least 20 years old, please do not apply if you are under 20 as you can’t visit the Casino.
• Have a good credit and criminal history – the role will require a gaming licence so these checks will be done.
• Be available to work nights and weekends – as you can imagine these are our busiest times!
• Good with numbers
• Be positive, enthusiastic and keen to learn!

Regardless of whether you are seeking Full time or Part Time, the initial training will be FULL TIME hours, therefore it’s important that you have the availability to commit to full time hours for the first 3 weeks of employment.
