Position: Web Application Developer

Reports to: Web Lead

Location: Dublin, Ireland or Carlsbad, CA

About the Position:

SleepScore Labs is looking for a Web Application Developer with strong technical and engineering skills. Your role as the Web Application Developer will be integral to planning, designing, coding, and supporting SleepScore’s newest web application/platform initiatives. If you are passionate about your work, thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and have proven experience building platforms, then we would love to have you join our team!

Ideal Candidate will have:

• Degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of JavaScript development experience.
• Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of web development libraries/frameworks such as Angular, Vue, React, jQuery and Bootstrap.
• Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Node.js.
• Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of CSS preprocessors such as Sass, LESS.
• Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of version control systems, specifically Git.
• Working knowledge of REST API integrations pertinent to a web front-end ecosystem.
• Working knowledge of modern-day web optimization techniques.
• Experience with responsive web design techniques.
• Integration of PWA techniques.
• Integration of A/B, Multivariate testing.
• Integration of analytics and tag management integrations (Google Analytics, Tag Manager, etc.).
• Understanding of best practices for Search Engine Optimization and Accessibility.
• Verbal and written communication skills for collaboration among multiple departments.
• CI/CD integrations for cloud solutions such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.

Nice to have:

• Previous web experience with other backend technologies outside of NodeJS (C#, Ruby, PHP, etc.).
• Previous web experience in support of B2C/B2B products and services.
• Previous web experience inside of an agile software development environment.
• Unit testing and/or E2E testing of web apps.
• Data visualization integrations using HighCharts, D3, ChartJS, Google Charts, etc.
• Collaboration tools for UX and/or Visual Design such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Sketch, InVision, etc.
• Collaboration tools for software development such as Atlassian (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence).
• Knowledge of state management techniques for web applications.
• Knowledge of other complimentary technologies and/or approaches such as Web Components, GraphQL, Jamstack, Elasticsearch, etc.
• Knowledge of UI alternatives outside of Bootstrap such as flexbox, CSS Grid, Tailwind CSS, etc.
• ScrumMaster certification.
