Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative has an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant in Hughesville, Maryland. The primary functions of this position will be providing administrative support to department personnel, assisting to ensure compliance with SMECO Operational Procedures and department policies and procedures. Interacting with employees, customer-members and other individuals outside of the organization. This position pays $27.29/hr.
This position requires a candidate who is organized, flexible, able to multi-task, and meet required deadlines.
This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of progressive experience in related office work. Candidate must be able to type 50 words per minute with minimum errors and demonstrate the ability to transcribe by use of a laptop computer.
