Society of the Transfiguration Hiring for Laundry/Housekeeper at Remote Full Time

Summary of Duties
The Laundry Personnel is responsible for careful cleaning of the Sisters’ habits, scapulars, linen and other clothing items, Transfiguration Spirituality Center (TSC) retreat linens (towels, sheets, and blankets), cleaning of the laundry areas, and other duties as listed.

Reporting Structures: The Laundry Personnel reports to the Housekeeping Manager.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Follow job task list as assigned.
• Follow protocols for disinfecting areas assigned to clean.
• Sort laundry and wash.
• Remove laundry from washing machine put in dryers.
• Hang habits on hangers after they are dried.
• Fold all laundered items.
• Place folded laundered items on the properly labeled shelves.
• Turn on presser, and other machinery as needed.
• Press habits, scapulars, pillowcases, blankets, and other items as needed.
• After each drying cycle remove lint from both dryers.
• Clean laundry areas. Sweep, vacuum, mop, and wipe down machinery.
• Alert the Housekeeping Manager immediately of any safety and maintenance concerns.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
