Responsibilities
Maintain an accurate inventory of all plant and tool equipment, including regular updates on quantities, locations, and condition.
Coordinate the allocation and tracking of plant and tool resources to various projects and teams.
Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to understand their equipment needs and ensure timely availability.
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks on plant and tool equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
Schedule and coordinate repairs, servicing, and maintenance activities with external vendors or internal maintenance teams.
Manage the hiring and procurement of additional plant and tool equipment as per project requirements.
Keep detailed records of equipment utilization, repairs, and maintenance history.
Monitor equipment rental agreements and contracts, ensuring adherence to terms and timely returns.
Develop and implement procedures and protocols for the efficient storage, handling, and transportation of plant and tool equipment.
Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of inventory records and reconcile any discrepancies.
Provide training and guidance to staff members on proper equipment handling, maintenance, and safety protocols.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in plant and tool equipment to make informed recommendations for improvements.
Assist in budgeting and cost control by tracking expenses related to plant and tool equipment, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and optimizing resource utilization.
Requirements
Previous experience in plant and tool administration or a related field is highly preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining inventory records.
Knowledge of plant and tool equipment, including various types and their applications.
Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in plant and tool management.
Proficiency in using computer systems and software for inventory management and record-keeping.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and equipment operators.
Problem-solving abilities to address equipment-related issues and make quick decisions.
Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and deadlines.
Physical stamina and dexterity to handle equipment inspections and occasional lifting.
