ABOUT THE JOB: Soundview Medical Supply is an established, rapidly growing nationwide DME supplier with our corporate office based in Seattle. We are currently seeking a full time Medical Records Specialist to join our fast paced, energetic team. The position is available for hire anywhere nationwide, but will need to conform to standard working hours approximately 8am-5pm PST, based on the majority of employees who are located on the west coast. AS OUR PERFECT MATCH, YOU:

• Have experience onboarding new clients through entering new client data into a medical billing system.
• Have 3-5 years minimum previous healthcare experience,
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care Medicaid programs.
• Knowledge of ICD 10 codes/ Knowledge of HCPC codes
• Understanding of prior authorizations
• Have experience sending prescriptions renewals to clinics, PCP’s, and facilities as applicable.
• Have experience sending prescriptions renewals to clinics, PCP’s, and facilities as applicable.
• Run expired prescription report out of Brightree.
• Maintain expiring prescription Excel list.
• Maintain a 30 day lead time on expiring prescriptions.

YOUR HISTORY LIKELY SHOWS:

• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organizational and administrative skills—you see what needs to be done and do it
• Ability to multitask, take initiative and anticipate the needs of others
• Experienced with Excel and with a medical billing software (Brightree knowledge a plus)
• Ability to project a positive, warm, and professional image in person and on the phone
