South Pacific Meats is seeking hard-working, reliable Halal Slaughterman at their Awarua site located in Southland.

It is essential that you are a practicing Muslim, who is punctual and reliable with a positive attitude and a passion for delivering quality product. Ideally, you will be a qualified and registered Halal Slaughterman, although full training can be given to those who meet the above criteria.

You will have an understanding of safe Food Handling procedures and workplace Health & Safety.

As you will be working as part of a team, you will have excellent communication skills and be willing to help where required.

Experience in a production environment is preferred, however most important is your positive attitude and passion for delivering quality product.

Applicants for this job must meet the following requirements:

• Practicing Muslim with eligibility to live and work in NZ
• APHSNZ registration
• Be a member of an Islamic Society in NZ
