As the Education officer at Southern Water you will be joining the Community Engagement Team in the privileged position to help build new programmes, inspire and support the education of young people across the region. You will be responsible for identifying and coordinating education offerings including site tours and liaising with schools and education settings to demonstrate that Southern Water cares about our customers, environment, and challenges faced by our communities.
A natural brand ambassador and networker you will be pivotal in promoting curriculum related initiatives and broader career specialisms in the water industry and work alongside the Community Engagement Officer and employees in supporting community related events.
Using your current experience working within an education setting and understanding of the challenges faced by schools and educators; this role will act as a bridge between those settings and our community objectives. You will use your passion for developing and supporting others by coordinating key education programmes whether that be via inhouse activity or partners and will represent Southern Water at community and education events
You will be an influential and engaging communicator with a proactive approach to your work, with confident and engaging presentation skills. You will produce content across a number of mediums to drive our schools related programmes and provide training for employees to support the delivery of key education, STEM and industry related programmes.
This role will require travel across the Southern Water region to attend events and meeting so a clean drivers licence is essential.
