Southwire Job Description

Customer Service Rep

Location: Canada – Remote

Summary:
Provide administrative assistance in distribution of products to Southwire customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist and provide answers to sales department inquiries with information concerning customer orders as it relates to area inventory availability, shipping/repack schedules, tracing, and any other customer service questions.
• Coordinate shipping schedules and investigate tracking of shipments for customers. Monitor carrier freight claims for lost and damaged material and maintain applicable record keeping.
• Assist with load building and cutting functions as assigned.
• Monitor area customer order shipping requirements to meet/exceed established company service level objectives.
• Monitor area inventory needs as it relates to restocking requirements for customer orders, identifying obsolete inventory and seeking outlets for reduction.
• Monitor and resolve customer returns for area department and maintain applicable record keeping.
• Act as liaison between sales and service center to verify and provide applicable records for customer returns.
• Help guide/direct quality services through knowledge of ISO Procedures, Wire & Cable Quality System Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Develop knowledge of SAP, Distribution and needed company systems.
• Additional duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Associate degree or equivalent is desired.
• Previous related experience desired.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
• Prior customer service work experience is a plus.
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven business acumen, exceptional interpersonal capabilities and possess a strong attention to detail.
