Talent Plus Online Assessment Information & Alternative Selection Process Request
As part of its interview process, Pendry Manhattan West uses Talent Online Assessments, a hiring tool administered by Talent Plus, a third-party management consultant company. These Assessments consist of a series of questions related to your talents and abilities which are then analyzed by human resource professionals in conjunction with the other aspects of Pendry Manhattan West’s application and interview process. This information is one of several factors used by Pendry Manhattan West to determine an applicant’s strengths and ultimately their compatibility with a position at the Hotel. The results of Talent Online Assessments are by no means the sole or dispositive factor considered by Pendry Manhattan West when making employment decisions. Rather, Talent Online Assessments are one aspect of the larger application process. New York City Resident applicants who do not wish to participate in a Talent Online Assessment may request an alternative selection process by emailing [email protected].
Applicants requesting an alternative selection process should indicate the reasons for their request, and whether such request is made as an accommodation for a disability that prevents the applicant from taking a Talent Online Assessment. The data collected by Talent Online Assessments consist only of an applicant’s name and responses, and Pendry Manhattan West maintains Talent Online Assessment results under strict confidentiality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Job duties include; although are not limited to:
8 hour work day, 40 hour work weekCleaning and resetting guest bedroom and bathroom areasChanging linens, making beds, organizing collateral on tables, straightening furniture, dusting and vacuuming of rooms, emptying trashBeing courteous and helpful to guests, including reporting any guest requests or preferencesCompleting assigned tasks in a timely manner as outlined by Housekeeping leadership teamPerforming additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties based on business needsPromoting a positive image of the property by displaying a pleasant and upbeat personality during each guest interaction and being comfortable responding to and carrying out specific guest needs and requestsEnsuring the confidentiality and security of all guest roomsIn addition, all Housekeeping Room Attendants may be assigned to; although not limited to, Turndown Attendant, House Attendant, Mini Bar Attendant and Receiving duties during a shift or as needed based on business needs.

Cleaning and resetting guest bedroom and bathroom areasChanging linens; making beds; turndown serviceAmenity deliveryOrganizing collateral on tablesStraightening furnitureDusting and vacuuming of roomsEmptying trashBeing courteous and helpful to Hotel guests, including reporting any guest requests or preferencesCompleting assigned tasks in a timely manner as outlined by managers and/or directorsRemoving trash from work areas to the loading dock/dumpster and removing trash and linen from cleaning carts and housekeeping closetsReporting any linen shortages or other discrepancies to the appropriate manager or supervisorMaintaining each storage and distribution area ensuring they are clean and organizedDistributing linen and supplies to designated areas in the hotel in accordance with established par levels in each areaDelivering miscellaneous goods and supplies to guest rooms and delivering linen and supplies to guest floorsMaking up and delivering roll-a-way beds and baby cribsMaintaining cleanliness of guest corridors; sweeping and washing floors, vacuuming carpet, washing walls, dusting furniture and fixtures, cleaning elevators and tracksDistributing linen and supplies to designated areas in the hotel in accordance with established par levels in each areaMaintaining the cleanliness of the guest corridorsSweeping and washing floors, vacuuming carpet, washing walls, dusting furniture and fixtures, cleaning ashtrays, elevators and tracksInspecting all equipment and ensuring it is in proper working conditionMaintaining a fully stocked inventory of all mini-bar items; ordering the necessary product items when par levels are lowEnsure no expired items are in guest rooms and record upcoming expirations appropriatelyEnsuring that all spill or hazardous areas are cleared immediately to ensure a safe environment; assisting in removing guest tables and trays from guest rooms.Cleaning and defrosting mini-bars regularly and consistentlyReceives various orders either non-consumable or Food & Beverage.Compares packing lists and invoices (when available) with Purchase OrdersReceives all incoming package deliveries from UPS, FedEx, DHL, Golden State Overnight, etc.Distribute and deliver items to appropriate departments and areas*Role descriptions may not be solely inclusive of all duties as outlined by housekeeping leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
One (1) year prior experience in similar cleaning positionHigh School Diploma or equivalent vocational trainingMust be able to speak, read, write and understand EnglishMust be able to weekends and holidays. For turndown responsibilities, nights are requiredThe ideal candidate will promote a positive image of the property by displaying a pleasant and upbeat personality during each guest interaction and be comfortable responding to and carrying out specific guest needs and requestsEnsuring the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms is of utmost importance
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of the job, the Housekeeping Room Attendant is required to stand, walk, handle or feel objects, tools, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl; talk, hear; reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and sometimes lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Exert physical effort in being able to clean multiple rooms per shift.
