Service Quality Assurance Specialist – Traveling
The Service Quality Assurance (SQA) Specialist is responsible for assessing and evaluating technical quality and safety for the Renewable Line of Business (LOB). They monitor the technicians and activities within LOB, and they are the subject matter experts for field technicians and are expected to provide support where necessary. They work closely with the SQA Lead, Operations Management, Talent Development and HSE Specialists, to efficiently plan and execute best practices, assessments, audits, and corrective actions for the LOB. This role has a requirement to travel a minimum of 85%.
What will you do as a Branch Manager at Spark Power?
Support quality of service for installations, preventative maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance (CM) or renewable technology projects.
Provide recommendations for installations, preventative maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance (CM) or renewable technology projects to improve quality and safety or gain efficiencies or productivity.
Complete reports as required to document site conditions, areas for improvement, technician negligence, etc.
Provide up-to-date information to the management team regarding service quality for designated Region.
Participate in the development of Job quality plans, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)s, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)s.
Perform daily drop-in inspections to various sites and jobs to ensure adherence to maintenance standards and safety documentation, including tailgate meetings and electrical work permits (LOTO).
Audit technician’s PPE, tool and equipment for any damage and proper use.
Perform random quality inspections for customer review.
Provide professional feedback and support to clients as necessary.
Participate in the Spark Power Renewables accreditation program.
Support Regional Supervisor in field technician performance evaluations as related to technical competency and technical performance.
Perform a combination of Operational and Service Quality duties as assigned
Deliverables as it pertains to management-identified metrics.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Grade 12 high school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3 Years of hands-on experience with BESS, Solar and Wind Turbines.
Post-secondary education with an electrical or mechanical base is an asset.
C. Tech or CET certification Through OACETT an asset.
Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC.)
Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Valid D Class Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
Knowledge of the NFPA 70.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:
Must be able to lift 23kg.
Proper ergonomics, as well as hand and body dexterity.
Work in various conditions, indoors and outdoors with extremes in temperatures, in businesses, schools, institutions, factories, and construction sites.
