Manufacturing Analyst/Cost Accountant

Description

The primary duties of the Cost Analyst/Manufacturing Accountant are to gather data and analyze/uncover inefficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze financial data
• Determine standard costs and investigate variances to actuals
• Analyze gross margin results, correct anomalies, identify trends and communicate findings
• Prepare detailed reports, both periodically and ad-hoc
• Forecast and analyze costs of processes, labor and inventory
• Other accounting projects as assigned by Controller

Requirements

 Requirements and skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field; OR an Associate’s degree with an Accounting focus
• Prefer a Minimum of 3+ years manufacturing experience as a cost analyst, cost specialist or similar role. Also could consider a new graduate.
• Experience in data, operational and financial analysis
• Knowledge of accounting processes and software
• Strong analytical & excel skills
• Great attention to detail
• Good communication aptitude
