Our team of 30 serves the Central Illinois area out of three offices in Champaign, Danville, and Kankakee. We frequently gather for company outings and events where we unwind and bond with each other. Regular events include seasonal parties, happy hours to celebrate employee and firm-wide successes and participating in community events such as the Illinois Marathon 5k and volunteering with local organizations. As a firm, we volunteer locally in our community at local food banks, meals on wheels, adopt a highway, and others. Responsibilities:

By working alongside our three partners, the Business Manager will oversee and manage daily business operations. The successful candidate will learn the ropes of our business and eventually will be responsible for overseeing the business side of our practice. Doing so will allow our three partners to do what they do best – serve the needs of those who have been injured, and their family members.

Oversight and management of Staff:

• Recruitment
• Onboarding
• Offboarding
• Scheduling (Vacation, Sick-Days)
• Day to Day HR Issues
• Staff Training and Education (work with Miranda)

o Monthly and Annual Trainings

o Attorney CLE Oversight

o Scheduling and Registering for Attorney CLE

Oversight and management of Business and Offices:

• Team benefits program

• Office insurance policies

• Client fund disbursements

• Staff reimbursements and mileage

• Business registration and attorney licensure
• Manage Supplies/Letterhead
• Monthly Office Visits to check-in with employees and ensure tidy and appropriate appearance of Office
• Oversight of Cleaning Personnel and ensure all offices are being cleaned appropriately and consistently

Improvement of systems and processes by:

• Recognizing gaps or errors in processes and implement solutions

• Researching, developing, and planning for implementing new processes to improve business operations

• Maintaining and implementing internal controls to ensure best practices and reduce financial risk across the organization

Complement Partners by:

• Performing administrative responsibilities including taking notes during meetings, preparing correspondence, managing partnership agendas and office documents

• Participating in Partnership meetings as needed
• Arranging for all aspects of business travel

• Determining needs of the team and implementing strategies for filling those needs

• Completing special projects as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (Business or HR)

• Five years of related executive or business experience
