Role

Splunk is looking for a Director of Partner Cloud Innovation and Strategy to align closely with partner, sales, marketing, professional services, migration, and sales engineering teams to deliver industry-leading and programmatic experiences to positively impact the success of our customers. This is a global role that will partner with internal and external stakeholders to dive deep into how Splunk can create Cloud Services Provider, Managed Service Provider/Managed Security Service Provider, Marketplace, and Independent Software Vendor programs to accelerate the growth of Splunk’s, our customers’, and our partners’ businesses. The leader is required to think big while enthusiastically building, incorporating innovative best practices for cultivating a rich and customer-centric cloud-native ecosystem to all points of partner integration.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and translate company goals and customers’ missions to align to partner-facing opportunities.

  • Lead a cross-functional effort to assess the impact of existing programs, program structures, and tools and resources against goals.

  • Identify common elements of success across existing programs and relationships.

  • Identify ways to capture and integrate the voices of the partner and customer into the decision-making process.

  • Work closely with sales to train on partner engagement, and to align with partner and customer objectives.

  • Recommend new initiatives, programs, and processes that will inform GTM efforts and drive successful outcomes.

  • Develop a cross-functional continuous improvement model that will regularly inform future decision-making across all aspects of the business.

  • Engage with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, legal, and deals desk to optimize Splunk’s customer experience through partners.

  • Recommend KPIs to measure the success of future programs, initiatives, and relationships.

  • Ensure organizational alignment and where needed, make organizational recommendations, to drive hyper-engagement with partners.

  • Aggregate partner success stories and use cases for amplification through marketing channels.

Basic Qualifications

  • A strong passion for delivering value to customers and partners.

  • 15+ years of partner experience with specific emphasis on developing, launching, and measuring the impact of partner programs on sales outcomes.

  • Experience scaling global teams during hyper growth phase.

  • Subscription, SaaS, or Cloud software experience is required.

  • Track record of consistently meeting/exceeding targets and objectives.

  • Excellent leadership and influencing skills; ability to build strong business partnerships both outside, and within the organization.

  • Skilled at business planning and diligent at measuring and communicating progress towards the plan, identifying roadblocks, and coming up with appropriate solutions.

  • Highly professional persona and polished demeanor. Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills; effective at delivering executive-level presentations.

  • Success adapting in fast-growing and changing environments with an ability to deal with ambiguity.

  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA a plus.
