Customer Experience Manager:

Reporting to the Store General Manager, the Customer Experience Manager’s primary focus is ensuring customer service levels are achieved through coverage of sales floor, by coaching, mentoring, onboarding and training new staff. In addition, responsible for overall operations of the cash office and cash team.

Your responsibilities:

Customer Service:

• Lead by example, providing exceptional customer service to Sporting Life’s internal and external customer.
• Serves as a role model for all customer services standards.

• Provides leadership on sales floor when designated (Maître D):

Operations:

• Responsible for overall operations of the cash office and cash team (including scheduling and performance management).
• Oversees opening and closing procedures and ready for business standards.
• Ensures all loss prevention standards are promoted and complied with by all employees.
• Motivates and leads staff regarding, store cleanliness, department job lists, health and safety practices, dress code, staff relations and compliance with Sporting Life policies and procedures.

Leadership:

• Promotes Human Resources initiatives through ongoing coaching, and fair and consistent leadership.
• Conducts effective and motivational daily huddles.
• Conducts daily coaching with sales teams creating an environment of high-performance through focus and achievement of Department KPI’s and targets.
• Conducts monthly reviews and coaching with team with the goal to continuously develop individual and team performance on the sales floor.
• Working with SGM, reviews and leads evaluation of recruitment and succession needs of Department.
• In partnership with AM conducts all first interviews on all prospective hires.
• As a Senior Management team member, ensures store and employee adherence of Health and Safety Policies and program

Training:

• Spearheads new hire training and the onboarding experience in-store
• Recruits and selects exceptional staff and assists with staff development through ongoing coaching, succession planning, performance appraisals, and fair and consistent leadership
• Coordinates with department managers onboarding and training plans for all new hires.
• Ensures all new hire documents are completed and submitted to Payroll and HR in a timely manner
• Evaluates current training programs and plans for upcoming initiatives
