About the role

This exciting role is a key position within our Trading Solutions team, responsible for designing and delivering software solutions while maintaining quality, good hygiene in development practices and adoption of new technologies. Key responsibilities include:

• Championing software quality, integrity, extensibility and reliability throughout the department by designing, implementing and promoting engineering practices
• Taking ownership of DevOps self service, support and operation of infrastructure within AWS
• Providing on-the-job training for new or less experienced team members
• Introducing new ideas and tech to the domain
• Providing guidance and support to the business in determining and recommending approaches to yield both short and long term platform outcomes
• Actively contribute to Solution Design reviews
• Driving the assessment, analysis, planning and design of applications within the platform
• Working with the Tech Lead to foster relationships with stakeholders and refine roadmaps in line with platform capabilities
• Close collaboration with Data teams to ensure all solutions are integrated into the Big Data platforms and Data is available for Analysts, Data Scientists, Quants etc

About You

We are looking for somebody who is self-starting and passionate about what they do. Someone who enjoys stakeholder engagement and who is adaptable to the changing needs of our tech universe. You have a high attention to detail, are commercial in approach and enjoy partnering with others! In addition, you have:

• Experience in C# and the .NET Core
• Experience in basic AWS concepts and services such as VPC, EC2, ECS, CloudFormation, RDS, etc.
• Experience in Docker, Jenkins
• DynamoDB, MySQL and other databases
• RabbitMQ or other message brokers
• Experience with NUnit and testing automation
