About the role

Sitting within our Customer Experience delivery team which is a cross functional team of capabilities responsible for delivering the exciting features and products for Sportsbet customers across multiple online platforms. This role is contributing to our cutting-edge Android experience for our customer-facing platforms.

Key responsibilities include:
Building cutting-edge Android applications that deliver value to Sportsbet’s customers – there is an exciting brand new project to get involved in!

Produce, review and document standards based, high-quality, optimised code

Day-to-day collaboration across the broader engineering, product development and product delivery teams within the SDLC

Advocate for exceptional user experience outcomes

Contribute to Continuous Improvement of software delivery processes and outcomes

Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code

Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs

Help maintain high code quality, organization and automatization.

About You

We are looking for somebody who is self-starting and passionate about working with our stakeholders to create effective solutions and guaranteeing the health of Sportsbet’s most valuable customer platforms. You have a high attention to detail, are commercial in approach and passionate about tech! You might be early in your android career or be a seasoned developer, we have new opportunities for both!

Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android and how to deal with different screen sizes is key

Experience of developing in Java, kotlin, with knowledge of cloud would be essential

Familiarity with the following technologies/framework: JavaRx, Dagger, Retrofit, Java 8, ButterKnife, Mockito would be useful

Knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns and best practices
