About the Role:

We are currently looking for some enthusiastic people to join our team at Wellington Hospital as Casual Kitchen Assistants in the Patient Food Service.

Your role will be responsible for a range of duties including food preparation, sandwich making and general kitchen cleaning duties. You will be reporting to the Patient Services Manager and contribute towards the delivery of a range of services to our client and hospital patients.

Hours available between 6.00 am and 4.00 pm or 4.00 pm and 8.00 pm. Availability for weekend work an advantage (weekend penal rates apply)

Skills and Experience:

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the following:

• Reliability and a great team player
• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment
• A friendly outgoing personality
• Understanding of OH&S and food safety practices; Be safety focussed
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to work as part of a wonderful team
• Be available at short notice
• Some food handling experience will be an advantage, but full training will be given.
