Spotless Looking for Gardener at New Zealand Full Time

Spotless has the contract with the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) for Facilities Maintenance and Management in the Central Region of the North Island encompassing activities at the three main bases: Linton Military Camp, RNZAF Base Ohakea and Waiouru Military Training Area, the National Army Museum, and several satellite sites where we deliver a suite of services to support Defence capability. We currently have an opportunity for a Grounds Person to be based at RNZAF Base Ohakea.

We are looking for a motivated person who enjoys working outdoors, can work unsupervised or as part of a team. The role is responsible for the day to day gardens and grounds maintenance and waste operations. This will include maintaining and developing amenity gardens in a commercial environment and general duties associated with grounds maintenance at Linton Military Camp.Training on all equipment and systems specific to the facility will be provided. The successful candidate would be required to work Monday to Friday 7.30 am-4.00 pm.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally come to us with;

• Certificate in Horticulture
• Previous experience in a Grounds Maintenance
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
• A customer service focused approach to their work
• An understanding of OH&S and Environmental policies
• A valid New Zealand Driver’s Licence
