As a Senior IBM Sterling OMS Developer at Spotlight Retail Group, you will be reporting into the Development Lead and play a key role in shaping and delivering our roadmap for the organisation’s Order Management System (OMS).

You will utilise your experience in using IBM Sterling OMS, contributing to the solution design, scenario analysis and producing high code solutions that is built for performance, availability, and scalability.

This is a fast-paced role with a focus on supporting the Spotlight, Harris Scarfe, Mountain Designs and Anaconda retail network across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia.

What You Will Be Doing:

This role involves working across the entire organisation and all brands but with a heavy focus in the following areas: eCommerce, Digital, Marketing, Retail Operations, Warehousing & Logistics and Merchandising teams.

BAU Website Enhancements:

• Provide technical leadership to the team on Sterling Order Management
• Work on stability and performance improvement of Sterling Order & management systems
• Work closely with the Development Lead for Design and Code Reviews and share best practices periodically
• Work in a collaborative environment with developers, designers, product managers and site-ops team members
• Deliver code solutions built for performance, availability, and scalability optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Building reusable code and libraries for future use
• Support and troubleshoot issues (process and system), identify the root cause, and proactively implement sustainable corrective actions
• Mentor developers to increase the overall skill level of the team and quality of team output
• Experience working with collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Slack, etc.

About You:

• Must have 5+ years of experience implementing and enhancing Sterling Order Management application across retailers
• Must have 5+ years of experience in Information Technology with a focus on IBM Sterling OMS and subject matter expertise in IBM Sterling order Management suite
• Prior experience in architecting or leading the technical team
• Demonstrated success in performing work and managing complex and/or large projects
• Collaboration tools such as Zoom, Slack, SharePoint, Jira and Confluence
• Knowledge of IBM Sterling Store and IBM Call Center application is desirable
• Experience working in Retail – dealing with multiple sites (Stores) and multiple brands
• Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or commensurate experience required
• Ability to lead full life-cycle projects including requirements, design, build, test and implement phases
• Hands on Java and OMS Development experience and familiarity with SOA, XML, REST, JSON
• Hands on experience with IBM Sterling order management version 9x
• Excellent communication skills – listening, written and verbal
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels from CEO level through to Junior Developers
