SRG Limited Looking for HR Recruitment Officer at New Zealand Full Time

The Role

We are expanding! We have a newly created role for an internal HR Recruitment Officer in our Auckland office.

In this internal recruitment role, you will be responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and onboarding of primarily trades and services type employees (Scaffolders, Industrial Painters and Bricklayers) to support operational requirements while fostering our strong company culture.

Reporting to the HR Manager and working closely with the existing HR Advisor, you will assist the Divisional and Operational Managers in strategically sourcing project employees across New Zealand. This role will be part of a wider international HR team who provide support, assistance, and advice to various sites across Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities:

• End to end recruitment and onboarding of blue-collar employees, this includes advertising, screening of resumes, shortlisting, scheduling interviews and coordination of the pre-employment checks.
• Coordinating the onboarding process including preparing letters of the offer in conjunction with relevant IEA’s and Agreements and coordination of induction processes.
• Create and maintain a talent pool to reduce the reliance on labour-hire and building relationships external stakeholders within the industry.
• Manage and maintain the approval, sourcing, application and onboarding process in the HR Recruitment system (PageUp)
• Collaborate with managers on workforce planning to identify future resourcing needs.

The successful applicant will ideally have:

• Previous Recruitment experience in the contracting space (must have)
• Experience in the contracting environment for the engineering and construction industries (preferred)
• Strong Interpersonal/verbal communication skills – establish relationships and communicates effectively with the full range of people involved on and off site.
• Professional standards and an appreciation for confidentiality.
• Attention to detail with a strong focus on compliance
• Intermediate Microsoft Word & Excel processing skills.
