Position Overview
Under the general supervision of the Diet Office Supervisor or the Program Team Manager, Nutrition Services, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface General Hospital, the DIET OFFICE CLERK is responsible for: performing a variety of duties related to the accurate transfer of information from diet requisitions, telephone/computer messages and patient menu selections to the CBORD Diet Office Management data base; calculation of energy/nutrient intakes; distribution of patient specific menus; printing of a variety of diet related reports; and performing other related duties as assigned.
Experience
Experience with CBORD Diet Office software would be an asset
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
Grade XII or recognized equivalent
Qualifications and Skills
Keyboarding skills
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Legible handwriting
Good interpersonal communication skills
Personal cleanliness
Problem solving skills
Attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy
Ability to retain information which is of a confidential nature
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Physical Requirements
Ability to walk/stand, lift and carry throughout the entire shift

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
