Job Overview
Under close supervision and/or according to detailed instructions, policies and procedures, greets and receives visitors and employees, and refers same to appropriate staff members or departments. Answers telephone and takes and relays messages. Performs related clerical duties including light typing, filing, sorting mail and photocopying. Specific duties may vary depending upon department/location assigned.
Qualifications
Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent and six to twelve months of previous work related experience. Work requires the ability to read and understand instructions, add and subtract numbers, and make comparisons between numbers and letters. Work requires the ability to exchange information on factual matters, schedule appointments, greet visitors, explain Hospital policies, and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel.
