Job Overview
Responsible for maintaining appropriate and adequate levels of stock for the storeroom distribution locations. Enters orders for replenishment and monitors status to alleviate stock outs or shortages. Assists with maintenance of the MMIS databases for accuracy of ordering levels and bin locations. Assists with invoice discrepancies in collaboration with the Accounts Payable Department. Works closely with Purchasing Department to address backorders/substituted items and return authorization management. Manages recall management and item expiration processes for inventory items. Assists Materials Distribution Clerks as needed.
Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent and two years of basic technical or occupationally-specific training in automated inventory control and work related experience.
2-4 years experience in a health care setting preferred.
Previous Supply Chain experience preferred.
Basic or advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel required.
Knowledge of Allscripts/McKesson system preferred.
Work requires the ability to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles.
Work requires the ability to exchange information on factual matters.
Knowledge of medical supply terminology preferred.
Technical skills and experience with hand-held devices for inventory control preferred.
