Stafford Looking for Factory Processing at Timaru, Canterbury Full Time

We have multiple clients needing workers NOW! Our ideal candidates have experience in factory processing roles but this is not necessary as training can be given. You must be physically fit, be able to pass drug/alcohol screening, and commit to the shift patterns on offer.

There is a minimum of 30 – 40 hours a week work available at all work sites.

We have varying jobs available, with some of them including these duties:

JOB 1

• Cattle hide hook up, cattle hide packing, tubbing out of hides
• Knife handling, trimming of cattle hides and fleshing, salting hides,
• Packing product, cleaning equipment and floors, stacking cattle and deer hides,
• Operating the fleshing machine, operating the drying machine,
• Sorting and marking product into bins, labelling of product.

JOB 2

• Factory processing, milling product and processing raw material.
• Working with factory machinery, lathes, reamers, head groovers.
• Turning of product. Loading product onto racks, moving racks with pallet trucks.
• Glazing product using pallet hoists, waxing and sanding product, dipping and spraying glaze onto product.
• Marking and labelling product. Setting and removing product from kilns, inspecting products and adjusting kiln settings as per product requirements.
• Making up boxes, packing finished product. Assisting with assembly of product, painting product and mechanical testing of finished product.

JOB 3

Factory Cleaning, cleaning facilities, cleaning equipment, using water hoses to clean down machinery and floors.

JOB 4

Forklift work, loading and unloading product, current OSH certificate or F endorsement required.

Hours for each job and site will vary but include:

Shift work hours

• 0600 – 1500
• 0700 – 1530
• 0900 – 1430
• 1500 – 2300
• 1630 – 0030

To succeed you must be physically fit and able. Other key factors we are looking for:

• Ability to lift 20 – 30kg hides in cattle hide processing roles.
• Must be able to commit to shift hours, work weekends, day and night shifts.
• Able to work in a close team and follow work instructions and meet production deadlines.
• Committed to health and safety awareness at work.
• Factory processing experience preferred working in a production environment but not essential.
• Must pass a drug test.
• Forklift license would be an advantage but not essential.

Pay rates range from $22.90 – $25.00 per hour.
