What You ll Do
As a Punch Press Machinist, you ll be part of our team located in Montpelier, IN. You ll get to:

• Set up and operate various types of tool room and punch press equipment
• Plan and arrange machining sequence. Confirms tool design intent by utilizing various measuring instrumentation to close tolerances.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose forming problems with progressive stamping dies
• Complete tooling changes, sharpening, and repair in die
• Complete general maintenance and cleaning on dies
• Operate die cart and crane to move dies

Who You Are

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic computer skills to enter data and look up job information
• 3-5 years in a tool shop environment.
• Machinist courses completed through tech school or program
• Mathematical ability (add, subtract, multiply and divide), practical application of percentages and ratios
• Lifting and carrying 5-35 pounds regularly; occasionally lifting 35+ pounds, use of a crane for heavy loads
