Position Overview
Under administrative direction, provides administrative support to the Center Director performing highly responsible administrative duties involving Center wide projects/operations and management; performs responsible staff functions coordinating and assisting with projects within the Center.
Job Responsibilities
1. Provides administrative support to the Center Director performing highly responsible administrative duties involving Center wide projects/operations and management.
2. Performs liaison work between the Center Director’s office and other Center program administrators relative to administrative, fiscal and program operations.
3. Serves as a member of the Center’s Executive Committee.
4. Coordinates and maintains the Office of Inspector General report tracking log, receipt of investigative summary, verification of disciplinary action taken and closure of files. Maintains Administrative Officer on Duty (AOD) and Statement-taker schedules.
5. Advises and works in conjunction with other service area supervisors to verify fiscal and ensure compliance with DPH (Department of Public Health), DHS and auditing standards and requirements.
6. Recommends guidelines for efficient Center operations.
7. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with courses in public or business administration.
2. Requires two years of professional experience in a public or private organization.
Conditions of Employment
1. Requires the ability to meet all agency vaccine/health-related Policies and guidance.
2. Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check.
3. Requires ability to pass a drug screen. On January 1, 2020, the Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act made it legal for residents over the age of 21 to produce, consume and sell cannabis in Illinois. Please note that although the law has changed, the Department will continue to enforce the Department’s zero tolerance Drug Testing policy. The use of unauthorized drugs, including cannabis, by an employee, regardless of the position held is prohibited.
