The Montana Department of Revenue administers almost 40 state taxes, property appraisals, liquor laws, and unclaimed property for the state of Montana. The Information Management and Collections Division serves Montana citizens and businesses through licensing, forms, financial and asset management, and other services. _DUTIES_ Duties include coordinating and providing a broad range of complex, unique and specialized services in support of ongoing payment processing program operations, maintenance of customer information databases and supporting activities. Creates, implements, and evaluates the payment system and customer data analysis to identify strategies and the overall work emphasis for the Customer & Payment Management Unit (CPM). This position builds business rules and test cases for system programming; maintain CPM’s internal controls; assists in managing and maintaining the CPM’s system documentation analyzes large quantities of diverse data, serving as the primary point of contact with internal and external customers; provides expert business insight for department special projects; and formulates technical decisions and recommendations that impact the entire unit and various payment systems and the departments customer relationship databases. This position is responsible for planning, developing and managing payments and customer data, systems and procedures to improve efficiency, provide prompt, accurate and respectful service, and ensure compliance with regulations; overseeing strategic operations; and representing the division with public and governmental organizations.
